

Dr Ethan Lim
Chief Executive Officer
Dr Ethan Lim is CEO of Ultimed Healthcare. He has 25 years of experience in various segments of the medical and healthcare industry. He has 2 decades of clinical experience in general practice, sports medicine, musculoskeletal and cardiac rehabilitation, prevention and lifestyle intervention. He also brings deep expertise from years working in the health insurance, health financing and health servicing industries with experience in commercial settings across various markets.
Dr Ethan obtained his MBBS from the National University of Singapore and his Clinical Exercise Physiologist and Team Physician certification from the American College of Sports Medicine. He also received his Sports Medicine Certificate with the International Olympic Committee and his Graduate Diploma in Sports Medicine from the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Singapore. Dr Lim was Chief Medical Officer for Team Singapore in the 2013 Asian Youth Games in Nanjing, 2014 Asian Games in Incheon and the 2023 Summer Games for Special Olympics in Berlin. He was past Vice-president of the Sports Medicine Association Singapore’s Executive Committee, Medical Advisor to the Muscular Dystrophy Association Singapore and was part of the NTU Sports Advisory Committee.
Dr Ethan is a fervent advocate of healthy lifestyle and disease prevention with a keen interest in healthcare sustainability and equitable healthcare for all. He has set up 2 cardiac rehabilitation units in Singapore and the Sports and Preventive Medicine unit in Parkway Shenton. He was the former Head of Clinical & Wellness at Cigna International Singapore, responsible for clinical governance and wellness strategy in health insurance services.
As Head of Governance, Analytics and Partnership with the University Wellbeing Office of Nanyang Technological University (NTU), he spearheaded mental health policies that uplifted the mental and general wellbeing of the 40,000 staff and students in the NTU community. Subsequently as Head Clinical Strategy & Partnership in Fullerton Health, he transformed commercial services with providers and community partners within Singapore and across Southeast Asian markets and upscaled various corporate and community health projects, especially in digitalisation, automation and AI-assisted solutions.
In his most recent role as Director Clinical Pathways in Prudential Services Limited, Dr Ethan was part of the Group Health team based in Hong Kong. He oversaw development of person-centric customer journeys and digital health programmes with AI-enabled care pathways across regional markets and delivered stronger partnerships with health providers to provide peace of mind for Prudential’s health insurance customers.
